Welcome to Massage by Maksym
My name is Andrew Maksym and I have been practicing therapeutic massage for more than 40 years. I recently relocated to the Coachella Valley from Los Angeles and am available to help you.
During the early years of my practice, I acquired extensive clinical experience working in Warsaw, Poland, at the prestigious Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology, specializing in the rehabilitation of neurological illnesses, mainly focusing on stroke victims. As an active athlete at the time, I also learned how to enhance athletic performance and treat sports-related injuries with massage.
After coming to America, I worked for 30 years at the International SportsMedicine Institute where I mastered my skills in rehabilitation of injuries working with the acclaimed Dr. LeRoy Perry, D.C.
My accomplishments include – Official massage therapist for the Canadian Olympic Track and Field Team at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, massage therapist for World Cup soccer, therapist for the Chunichi Dragons, a top Japanese baseball team. Also, I was a massage therapist for many US and international Olympic gold medalists and world record holders, as well as a long list of Hollywood celebrities, including several Oscar winners.
I am, of course, proud of these achievements but in my heart I am mostly dedicated to people that suffer from pain, injuries and stress, and it’s with those people that I am the most effective and have the best results.
